Service Description
This permit class consists of a minimum of 16 hrs of MD Firearm & Safety Training by a certified, qualified Handgun Instructor for INITIAL APPLICANTS. The MDWC includes classroom and range qualification that satisfies the requisite minimum requirements set forth by the MD Department of State Police for persons applying for a Maryland Wear & Carry Permit. Minimum Curricula: Overview State and Federal Firearm Law Overview Home Firearm Safety Practical Handgun Mechanisms & Operation Safe Handgun Proficiency & Use Demonstration Live Fire Range Qualification Upon successfully completing the course, each participant will receive an MSP Range Qualification Score Certification, and Full Text of Current "MD SENATE BILL 281 Firearm Safety Act of 2013" on a flash drive. This course will meet all training requirements for both MD residents and non-residents to obtain their carry permit in the state of Maryland. Applicants are required to submit documentation of the required training and a LiveScan fingerprint receipt.
